Obituary

Nancy Ann Valenta, 64, of Austin, Texas, passed away in the company of her daughters on Thursday, June 1, 2017.

Nancy was born on November 3, 1952 to parents Tim and Junice Valenta, She graduated from R.L. Turner high school and received a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Biology from the University of Texas. Nancy went on to do post graduate work and research in Microbiology at the University of Texas. Later she worked for the State of Texas Comptroller as a computer programmer.

One of Nancy's passions was making pottery. She spent many hours in the Art department of the University of Dallas using their kiln to fire all different kinds of pottery. She loved experimenting with glazes and trying new techniques.

Nancy's three daughters Katherine, Jaqueline and Elizabeth were her pride and joy. She loved taking them to ballet practice and watching them train. After much work and dedication they became accomplished ballerinas. One of her most cherished moments was watching them perform in the Nutcracker with Ballet Austin.

She is survived by her parents, Tim and Junice Valenta; brothers, Tim Valenta and wife Joan of Coppell, Texas and Ken Valenta also of Coppell, Texas; daughters, Katherine Boccieri, Jaqueline Boccieri and Elizabeth Love all of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by four wonderful grandchildren.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 5:30P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with a reciting of the rosary at 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jarrell, Texas with Father Stephen Nesrsta officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery in Jarrell, Texas.
