OBITUARY

Jacque VanBibber

Jacque VanBibber was born Nov. 2, 1913, in Dallas to E.T. Lewis and Maud Hardgrave Lewis. She graduated from Carrollton High School and attended business college there. She worked as an executive secretary for over 40 years in the Dallas area for such companies as Empire Drilling Co., owned by Stuart and Sherman Hunt; LTV; and Texas Bank of Dallas.

She married W.J. VanBibber on Nov. 3, 1988, in Ranger and he preceded her in death in 1994. She had lived in Ranger since 1987.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ranger and was president of the Ranger Garden Club and the Ruth Sunday School Class.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Betty Johnson of Ranger; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Rex Allender of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepson and daughter-in-law, Dick and Louise Johnson of Grand Prairie; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Laverne Lewis of Lakewood, Colo.; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kristen and Brad Beaird of McGregor; grandson, Greg Johnson of Ranger; grandson, Steve Allender of Denver, Colo.; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kim and Bruce Cline of Wheaton,

RANGER -- Jacque VanBibber, 84, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Ranger First Baptist Church with the Revs. Nathan Tucker, Jim Poe and Elizabeth Kugel officiating. Entombment
will be at 3 p.m. in Restland Memorial Park Mausoleum in Dallas, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.

Mrs. VanBibber was born in Dallas and graduated from Carrollton High School. She attended business college in Carrollton and worked as an executive
secretary for more than 40 years in the Dallas area for Empire Drilling Co., LTV Inc. and Texas Bank of Dallas. She moved to Ranger in 1987. She was
president of the Ranger Garden Club and Ruth Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and was the widow of W.J. VanBibber, whom she married in 1988 in Ranger.

Survivors include one son, Bob Johnson of Ranger; one daughter, Barbara Allender of Albuquerque, N.M.; one stepson, Dick Johnson of Grand Prairie; one brother, Donald Lewis of Lakewood, Colo.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
