OBITUARY

Loyd C. (Wobby) Vance

Loyd C. (Wobby) Vance, age 89, of Lewisville passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007, in Lewisville.

He was born August 16, 1917, in Quinlan, Texas to John M. Vance and Josie Tenna Redmond Vance. Wobby married Cordell Loard. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville and worked as a United States Meat Inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture.

He is survived by his wife, Cordell; sons, Kerry Vance and his wife, Cheryl of Lewisville and Johnny Vance of Corsicana and five grandchildren.

Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Lewisville. Interment at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.
