Sherrye Lynne ‘Miss Honey’ Vaught

Funeral for Sherrye Lynne “Miss Honey” Vaught, 47, of Azle was Dec. 7 at the Church at Azle with Mike Miles officiating.

Vaught died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008.

Born Nov. 24, 1961, in Decatur to Floyd Wilson and Bobbie Jean Stevens, she attended school in Farmers Branch. She worked for Motorola Corp. in the distribution section for 17 years and was a member of the Church at Azle.

She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather, Freddie Patrick Owens; and brother, Glenn Marshall Stevens.

She is survived by her husband, W.E. “Bill” Vaught of Azle; mother, Bobbie Jean Owens of Sanger; children, Jonathan Patrick Short of Carrollton, David Keith Short of Farmers Branch and Dylan Cole Vaught of Fairfield; brothers, Floyd Wayne Stevens of Oahu, Hawaii, David Ray Stevens of Coral Springs, Fla., Robert Daniel Owens of Sanger, Preston Ray Owens of Dallas and Clayton Scott Owens of Mesquite; sisters, Bobbye Jeanne Henson of Frisco and Terri Kay Thornton of Kountze; grandson, Matthew Short; and granddaughter, Justice Short.
