OBITUARY

Services Set Monday for Mrs. Vernon
Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Dodd Vernon, 78, of 1431 Stemmons Ave., widow of the Rev. W. N. Vernon pioneer Methodist Church. Burial will be at Cemetery Hill near Carrollton.
Mrs. Vernon had been awarded two life memberships in the Woman's Society of Christian Service by North Texas Methodist Church, and she had held numerous local and district church offices from time to time.
A native of Bowie, Mrs. Vernon died here Friday.
Survivors: Two sons, Dodd Vernon of Augusta, Ga.; and the Rev. Walter N. Vernon Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters, Mrs. George L. Nyfeler of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. A. Leonard Miller of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Charles Nicholis of Tampa, Fla.; a brother J. Thomas Dodd of Lubbock, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
