CARROLLTON'S FIRST MAYOR HAS 88th BIRTHDAY
W. F. Vinson, local resident of Carrollton since 1911 and its first mayor,
celebrated his 88th birthday here. Mr. Vinson was one of the men who worked for
the incorporation of the city.
A birthday dinner was given in his honor Sunday, April 18, at the American
Legion Hall Post No. 597 with 88 relatives and friends attending.

grandchildren; fifth three great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert,

Services 2 p.m. Thursday, First Christian Church, Carrollton, Rev. Norman Conner
officiating. Interment Frankford
Cemetery, Addison. Body will lie in state from
1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
