OBITUARY

Memory of
Dean Edward Waldrop
May 28, 1944 - February 11, 2015
Dean Edward Waldrop, 70, of Carrollton, TX, passed February 11th, 2015,
peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born May 28th, 1944 in Foreman
Arkansas, Dean was born to Gladys Bogan and Earl Waldrop and had three
brothers and one sister. At the age of 2, Dean’s family moved to Texas
where he would live for the rest of his life. A man who put his family
above all else, Dean was a loving and devoted husband to his wife for
fifty one years and was always involved with and supportive of his three
sons. He was a forty year resident of Carrollton where he had a long
career in the printing industry as a well respected press operator and
soon afterward becoming a production manager. Dean had a lifelong
passion for the outdoors and spent the majority of his free time fishing
with his family. He was always respected by all who knew him for his
resolve and strength of character. Dean was well respected as a man who
held himself to a very high standard of conduct. Known for his loyalty
to friends and family, loved ones could always count on Dean in a time
of need. As a man known for his practical jokes and sense of humor, Dean
could always be counted on for a good laugh, as well. Dean is survived
by his wife, Kaye Waldrop, sons Rick, Steve, Cliff and daughter-in-law
Michele, grandchildren Kayla Wells and Wayne Waldrop, sister Betty West,
brothers Wesley and Ray, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his parents and brother Billy. A Visitation will be
held at Rhoton Funeral Home 1511 I-35 E Carrollton, TX 75006 on Monday
February 16, 2015 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and the Funeral Service will
begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at
Hilltop Memorial Park. |
