Woman Drowns At Dam

Mrs. Rose Nell Wallace, 45, of 4949 Singleton Blvd, lost her life Monday when caught in a whirlpool below the Carrollton Dam spillway.  Mrs. Wallace and her husband were on a picnic at the Carrollton Dam and had gone swimming in the spillway when the accident occurred.  An undertoow swept the woman into a whirlpool. She was taken from the water by W. R. Southard of 9108 Ingle Street, Dallas.  Efforts to revive her failed, county officers said.
