OBITUARY

CHARLES KELLEY WEBB
1961 - 2020

WEBB, Charles Kelley "Chuck" Charles Kelley Webb "Chuck" was born in Dallas in 1961 and passed away on July 10, 2020 in Austin. Chuck graduated from R. L. Turner High School in 1979 and from Southwest Texas State in 1994 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Horticulture.

Chuck was proud to work as an Urban Forestry Inspector for the City of Austin, Public Works Department. He loved his job and respected and admired his co-workers. He was a man of many intereststrees, botany, wooden boats, cooking, Krav Maga, long guns, pistol competitions, hiking at Big Bend, good tequila and Great Danes. He inherited his passion for woodworking from his father and great-grandfather and built everything from cabinets to wooden boats and kayaks. Chuck was friendly and kind. Everywhere he went, he made life-long friends who were important parts of his life.

Chuck is survived by Elizabeth, his wife of 31 years whom he adored, his mother, Lois Webb, sisters, Jody Klickman (Mike), Carol Race, and Linda Cox (Tommy), sisters-in-law, Pat Barnett and Mary Rabon, brother-in-law, Danny Barnett, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and Bishop, his loyal Great Dane and walking buddy. Chuck's father, Donald J. Webb (who preceded him in death), instilled in him the qualities of a good and loving man.

There will be a private memorial for family. A celebration of Chuck's life for friends, co-workers and extended family will be held later. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to WoodenBoat School, memo Chuck Webb Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 78, Brooklin, Maine 04616 (or call Kim Patten 207-359-7702) or TreeFolks, https://www.treefolks.org/give/ "in memory of Chuck Webb."
