OBITUARY

Colleen Webb
MARCH 17, 1947 – NOVEMBER 21, 2021

Colleen Webb, 74, of Dallas Texas, passed away November 21, 2021.
She was born in Dallas, Texas on March 17, 1947. Colleen graduated in 1969 from the University of North Texas and received a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She was married to Jimmie Webb on July 20, 1985, and they celebrated 36 years together.

Colleen worked as a Latin Teacher at Newman Smith High School for 42 years. She loved teaching, as she was able to educate and mentor students and fellow educators throughout her career. Colleen cared for those around her and she stayed trustworthy and loyal. She was witty and never lost her humor.

Colleen was a member of Victory Baptist Church for the last five years, and before that Canyon Creek Baptist for close to thirty years. She loved researching family history and sharing with the family what she had learned. Colleen collected roosters, dolls, and, during the holiday season, she couldn’t pass up a good Santa Claus.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Jimmie Webb, her brother Dennis King, her children Brian Baxter, Dallas, TX; David Baxter (Jennifer), Wake Forest, NC; Holly “Webb” DeHaan, Plainwell, MI; and Jerod Webb (Stephanie), Fort Worth, TX. Her grandchildren are Samantha, Noah, Ava, Kaitlin, Courtney, Jacob, Makayla, Sarah, and Mason. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward King and Blanche Burrell.
