Matthew Wesley Webb, 27, of Krum, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2007 at
6:14 p.m. at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, with his loving family by his
side.
Matt was born December 21, 1979 at 10:51 p.m. to Peggy Ezzell Webb Harvey and
Rickey Webb in Denton, Texas. Matt graduated from Lake Dallas High School in
1998. Matt married Sarah Williams, his high school sweetheart, in 2002; together
they made their home in Krum, Texas.
Matt celebrated life in everything he did, both as a young child and as a grown
man. Whether it was hunting, watching wrestling, raising horses, spending time
with his family and friends, or even working, Matt was one-of-a-kind, just like
his Dad, and he did things his own way.
Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wesley Webb; great uncle, Curtis
Webb; grandmother, Margie Harvey; and beloved great-grandparents, Ma and Pa
Webb, Mama and Papa Ezzell, Grandmother and Granddaddy Durham, and Mama and Papa
Ottinger.
Matt is survived by his wife, Sarah, of five years and his precious unborn baby;
his parents: Rickey Webb of Lake Dallas, and Peggy and Jim Harvey of Mineral
Wells; his grandparents: Dorris and Jack Ezzell of Lake Dallas, Bob and Nancy
Flanagan of Grapevine, and Tom and Hue Leita Harvey of Richland Hills.
He is also survived by his only brother, Steven Webb and fiance, Monika Fehrm;
his only sister, Amanda Mattern, brother-in-law, Roland Mattern, and nephew
Leland of Saginaw; his step-sister and husband, Jolynn and Darrell Self of
Jacksboro, niece, Skyler, nephew, Taylor; step-sister, April Gray of Haltom
City; brother-in-law, John and his wife, Laurie Payne, of Ponder, nephews Skyler
and Corey.
He is also survived by his uncles and aunts: Randy and Kim Webb of Coppell;
Tracy and Paul Fields of Grapevine; Rick and Mindy Flanangan of Roanoke; Randall
and Tammy Chambers of Corinth; Dennis and Tina Markem of Commanche; Alan and
Terri Webb of Hickory Creek; Loyed and Trenna Ezzell of Lake Dallas; Tom and
Marilee Harvey of Highland Park; Becky and Robb Lane of Hurst; and numerous
cousins.
Services to honor Matt's life were held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at Lake
Shore Baptist Church in Lake Dallas at 1 p.m. Family visitation was on November
17, at Dalton and Son Funeral Home in Lewisville. Internment will be at
Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton.
Arrangements are in the care of Dalton and Son Funeral Home of Lewisville,
Texas.
