OBITUARY

Kathryn Ringo White was born to Jeff and Janie Ringo on July 30, 1932. She was raised in Addison, Texas along with her four brothers and three sisters. She went to the little red schoolhouse on Beltline Rd. It is now the Magic Time Machine Restaurant. Yes, it really was a school.
Kathryn was smart —some say too smart for her own good — and was double promoted several times and went through school quickly.
She decided to get a job at a very young age at the old Lucas B & B on Oak Lawn Ave. but was "let go" when it was discovered that she was serving beer at age 16.
She met and married Jack White at the age of 17. They settled in a small home in Addison, TX, where they had two children, Pamela Kay and Bobby Jack, Jr.
Kathryn enjoyed working and making her own money. She was one of the first women who began working for a new company on Lemon Ave. known as Texas Instruments, where she was employed until her retirement. She worked in the lab, building integrated circuits under a microscope from the time they were invented. She built the circuit that was featured on the cover of Fortune Magazine for a story about its inventor, Jack Kilby.
After retiring from TI, Kathryn served as the church receptionist at Preston Highlands Baptist Church for several years.
She was known as Katy to her working family, Kat to her family and Ding to her grandkids and great grandkids.
Kathryn was a strong-willed woman who questioned all and everything. Her family always thought she would have been a wonderful lawyer.
There is no one who was more loyal and loving to her family. Family was always first to Kathryn.
She also loved her friends and Jack and Kathryn's home always had visitors, entering through the garage and sitting at the kitchen table to talk for a while.
From traveling by motorcycle or travel trailer with groups of friends across the country to competing in archery tournaments, to chatting with neighbors from lawn chairs on their driveway, Jack and Kathryn were always surrounded by people.
Kathryn loved her church family and was always quick to participate in any party or study or project there.
Pam and Bobby want to thank all family, friends, neighbors, and church family who called and visited their mother after Jack's passing. They appreciate your time and thoughtfulness. They have no doubt mother & daddy are together again and imagine them enjoying a bowl of Blue Bell before they take Princess for a walk.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter Pam Evans and husband David, son Bobby White and wife Dana, grandchildren Allison Meguro and husband Shigeaki, Emily Evans, Jackson White, Reid White, and Presley White, and great-grandchildren Mia Meguro, Kenzo Meguro, and Addison Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and siblings Bill Ringo, Herman Ringo, Mary Helen Doyle, Roy Ringo, and Winne Mae Derczo.

Kathryn will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Jack at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
