OBITUARY

William Dean White
December 23, 1955 - December 9, 2023

One of two loving siblings, William Dean White, was born on December 23, 1955, to Bert and Sue White in Freeport Texas. Our loving husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, grandpa, and friend entered into the arms of Jesus on December 9, 2023, at 12:27 am surrounded by his wife, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew.

Dean spent his early childhood in Farmers Branch, Texas and then later his family moved to Carrollton, Texas where he spent his formative years. He made many friends in his cherished neighborhood, high school, and romping through the fields at Josey Ranch. He enjoyed playing baseball at the Thomas Park Fields. Fishing and woodworking or anything working with his hands were a few of his hobbies. Spending Friday nights during his teenage years cruising down Forest Lane with his buddies was always a highlight he looked forward to, so long as no tickets were involved. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He was passionate about his collection of eagles. “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint.” - Isaiah 40:31

Dean attended Good Elementary, Dewitt Perry Jr. High, and R. L. Turner High School where he graduated in 1974. He was a member of the RLT Marching band where he played the clarinet and bass clarinet. Dean accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age where his family attended First Baptist Church in Carrollton, Texas.

Upon graduation, Dean entered the aviation field where he was employed as parts manager and sales manager from 1974 until 2018 when he retired.

In 2004 he met the love of his life, Connie. On February 24, 2007, they were united in marriage in Lewisville, Texas. At the time of Dean’s passing, they were married seventeen (17) years. They were devoted and loved each other deeply. He always said she was the best thing that happened to him.

Dean is survived by his wife, Connie, The Colony, TX; his sister, Linda Mansell (Bill), The Colony, TX; nieces, Amanda (Brian) Ledkte, Indianapolis, Indiana; Jessica Mansell, Lake Dallas, TX; nephew, Zachary Mansell, The Colony TX; great-niece, Olivia Ledkte, Indianapolis, Indiana; stepson Cody (Jeanette) Nausbaum, Cheyenne, Wyoming; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Doug) Cochran, Texarkana, TX; step grandchildren, Remington and Kendalyn Martin, Wyatt, Jasper and Kinzley Nausbaum. He also leaves his three cherished Yorkies: Charlie, Lady, and CoCo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Sue White, grandparents, several aunts and uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Dean had a passion for life. He genuinely loved his family and friends and would do anything to help anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him, His memory and legacy will live on in the lives of all those he touched. We will see you later – it is not goodbye.

“If I survey all the good things that come to me from above,If I count all the blessings from the storehouse of love I’d simply ask for the favor of him beyond mortal king, And I’m sure he would grant it again, I want to stroll over Heaven with you some glad day. When all our troubles and heartaches are vanished away Then we’ll enjoy the beauty where all things are new, I want to stroll over Heaven with you,”

A celebration of life for Dean will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Metrocrest Funeral Home, 1810 N Perry Rd, Carrollton, Texas 75006.

Dean was a man of simplicity who enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite teams ( The Dallas Cowboys and The Rangers), he also enjoyed many other hobbies all while being comfortable. We ask all those who join us in celebrating his life be comfortable. Please wear your favorite Dallas Cowboy or Texas Ranger Gear or just a plain shirt and jeans.
