OBITUARY
DENNIS O. WHITEHEAD, 50. Born August 21, 1953 in Denton, Texas passed away at
his mother's home in Farmers Branch, Texas on January 1, 2004, after a short
battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Susan; his daughter Kelli
Moerschell and husband Joe, grandson Zack; stepson David Burrus; father Bill
Whitehead; mother and stepfather Billie and Richard Kimball; brother Claude and
sister in law Nancy; sister Michelle Whitehead and niece Holly Whitehead. Dennis
resided in Athens, Texas with his wife Susan. Dennis owned and operated Athens
Cedar Creek Irrigation. He grew up in Farmers Branch, Texas and graduated from
R.L. Turner High School in 1971. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, the
Dallas Cowboys, practical jokes and his dogs. He was a loving and compassionate
person who offered encouragement to others in their time of need. Family will
receive friends for visitation Saturday, January 3 from 5-8pm at Phillips
Funeral Home, 1835 Pearl Street, Carrollton, Texas 75006. Funeral service will
be held 2pm, Sunday, January 4 at Northside Baptist Church, 2000 North Denton
Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75006, Brother Mark Dallalio officiating. Interment
will follow at Hilltop Memorial
Park in Carrollton. The family would like to express special thanks to Tim
and Connie Hagan, the Visiting Nurses Association, Hospice and the Farmers
