OBITUARY

WILLINGHAM
LOIS GLENN MABERRY was born March 16, 1920 to Charles Milton and Sarah Elizabeth Thornton Maberry in Farmers Branch, Texas and received her education in Carrollton, a 1938 graduate as Salutatorian.  She received her Bachelors Degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton, her Masters Degree from East Texas State University in Commerce. She taught school in Mesquite for 27 years.  She loved genealogy and wrote two books on the Maberry and Reinhardt families.  She belonged to Delta Kappa Gamma International, Retired Teachers Association, Rebekkah Lodge where she received the Decoration of Chivalry by the IOOF of Mesquite, Quitman Quest Club, The Daughters of Republic of Texas, Mesquite Education Association, Wood County Retired Teachers Association, and the Myrtle Springs Baptist church of Quitman, Texas.  She received Life Membership in PTA while at Florence Black Elementary School in Mesqite.  She is survived by daughter and her husband, Sandra and Jim Gould of Quitman, granddaughter Kathe Pickel, grandson and his wife, Marcus and Jacquelyn Pickel of Dallas, and several nieces and nephews.  Her husband James Maurice Willingham preceded her in death on January 19, 1994.  Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., prior to service.  She will be buried next to her husband at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas on November 11, 2003.
