OBITUARY
 
David Worley Obituary

David Worley, 76, of Slaton, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

Graveside services will be 10:00am Monday, April 1, 2024, at Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

David was born on September 21, 1947, in Carthage to Calvin Ernest and Rosie Worley. He attended R.L. Turner high school and moved to the Slaton area in the 1960’s. David worked at Lubbock Manufacturing prior to becoming a truck driver. He transported groceries and for Affiliated, Watson and other products as well. In the early 2000’s he became an independent driver for Walmart. He enjoyed tinkering with D.C. motors.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Shirley Reynolds and Flora Mae Arnold.

David is survived by his sons, Eric and Eldon and his wife, Sylvia all of Slaton; his sisters Pat Hammitt of Lake Dallas and Ernestine Young of The colony; his grandchildren, Jonah and Vance Worley, Richard Ramirez, and Madison Meurer and her husband, Bryce; and great grandchildren Posie and Magnus Meurer.
