OBITUARY
Irma
Aline
Yager was born January 9, 1936 in Sherman, Tx and passed away
October 29, 2011 surrounded by her family at their home in Mineola, Tx.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years,
Robert L.
Yager; her adoring son, Ricky D.
Yager; step daughter, Sharon Y. Douglas and her husband, Don; Two
grandchildren: Amy Metcalf and her husband, Shawn; Clayton Douglas and
his wife, Amber. Three great-grand children: Ellie Metcalf, Alayna
Douglas, and Alexis Douglas. Additionally, she is survived by 3 sisters
and 2 brothers who affectionately referred to her as “Al” along with
numerous nieces and nephews. As a young lady,
Aline moved to the Dallas area and worked in the insurance
industry. Upon her husband’s retirement following 30 years of serving as
the Farmers Branch Fire Chief, the family moved from Farmers Branch to
Mineola, Tx. There the family owned and operated a motel and later a
restaurant. Her favorite hobby was fishing. After
Aline retired from the family businesses, she enjoyed immensely
being afforded
the time she could dedicate to taking care of her close family and other
relatives. Thru the illnesses she endured during the last many years of
her life, she remained a loving and caring wife, mother, and
grandmother. Visitation will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 1st in
the Parlor of the First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch with funeral
services immediately following in the sanctuary of First Baptist
Church at 1 p.m. Pastor Sam Underwood will be officiating. The burial
will be at Keenan Cemetery
in Farmers Branch after the service.
Services for Irma Aline Yager -- 12:00 p.m.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2011
from 12:00 to 1:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at
First Baptist Church, William B. Dodson Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas
75234. Interment will follow at
Keenan Cemetery
in Farmers Branch on Valley View Lane.
