OBITUARY Aged Lady Passed At Farmers Branch
Mrs. Lucy Angeline Yager, aged 90 years, 3 months and 13 days, died at
the home of her daughter on Friday, May 20, 1938. Funeral services were
held at the Farmers Branch Baptist church Saturday morning at 10
o'clock, Rev. Harvey Welch and Rev. Law conducting the funeral services
and interment being in the
Farmers Branch cemetery. Rhoton's were morticians.
Mrs. Yager was born in Kentucky Feb. 7, 1848, her maiden name was Lucy
Butler. She has lived in this community many years and was a member of
the Hackberry Baptist church. Her husband has been dead for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. B. G. Schrimsher and Mrs. Kate
Lindsey; one son, R. W. Yager; three sisters, Mrs. Jim Good, Mrs. John
Good, and Mrs. Watt Good; one brother, Dr. W. H. Butler; seventeen
grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

OBITUARY Mrs. Lucy Yager, 90, Farmers
Branch, Dies
Mrs. Lucy Angeline Yager, 90, who came to Dallas County from
Kentucky sixty-eight years ago, died Friday morning at her home near
Farmers Branch where she had lived for forth years. She was the wife of
the late Walter Yager.
She leaves thirty-eight living descendants. The survivors are a son,
Walter Yager of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Scrimpsher, with whom
she lived and Mrs. Kate Lindsley of Dallas; two brothers, Dr. W. H.
Butler of Dallas and Fred Butler of McAlester, Okla.; three sisters,
Mrs. Susan Good and Mrs. Ella Good of Farmers Branch and mrs. Julia Good
of Krum, and seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Farmers
Branch Baptist Church.
