RELZY LEE "ZEKE" ZETTY
December 23, 1934 - June 14, 2022
Relzy (Zeke) Zetty beloved husband, Dad, Paw-paw, Great Paw-paw,
brother, uncle and friend.
Zeke was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Oleta Zetty, sister
Lorine
Zetty-Linciccome and beloved grandson Christopher Sean Carter.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Shirley Hudson Zetty,
daughters Julie Zetty and Susan Zetty-Painter, & son John Zetty.
Grandchildren Candace Holland & husband Jeremy, Matthew Painter & Ann
Carter-Seider & husband Camon Seider.
Great grandchildren Azra Celeste Wellbaum, Ava Grace Seider, & Carter
Kent Seider as well as many other family and friends.
Relzy Lee (Zeke) Zetty was born in Grand Saline, TX and lived in the
Dallas, TX area his entire adult life.
He was a graduate of Carrollton High School, played high school
basketball, baseball and was captain of the football team.
He married his high school sweetheart and drum majorette, Shirley Hudson
in 1955.
Zeke’s early career was with Texas Instruments, the producer of the
world’s first commercial silicon transistor.
He then joined Mostek Corporation an integrated circuit manufacturer and
retired from SGS Thompson/STMicroelectronics.
Zeke dearly loved his family and friends.
He enjoyed traveling with family and friends and long vacations and
trips to the Casinos to “make a donation”!!!
No matter where his travels took him, he always ran into someone who
knew him!
His ever present witty, dry sense of humor kept everyone laughing and
rolling their eyes with his “Zekeism” jokes and quotes!!!
Throughout his life he had many different interests including strumming
the guitar and mandolin, playing the juice harp and harmonica.
He always enjoyed a good game of dominos or poker, as well club
basketball, league bowling, scuba diving, competitive spearfishing and
was even a certified diving instructor!
He enjoyed riding his tractor, doing yardwork, landscaping and gardening
with the grandkids. He also enjoyed feeding birds, squirrels and other
“wildlife”.
Zeke has crossed over to his forever garden and will be dearly missed by
all his family and friends. |
