Annie Heads Rainwater Elementary Built in 1994, the school is named for Annie Heads Rainwater as a tribute to her strength, courage and convictions. Rainwater’s vision was to educate her children in a school system where all children could learn together, learn from each other and grow together as one community. In September 1963, the district’s schools were integrated and Rainwater’s vision became a reality. Notes: |
