OBITUARY
 
In Memory of
D. Douglas Brantley
June 25, 1941 - December 2, 2014

D. Douglas Brantley, June 1941 - December 2014, resident of Terrell, TX for 30+ years. Doug passed away in peace December 2nd, 2014, with his family at his side. Doug was born in Terrell, TX and spent much of his childhood in Carrollton, TX. He was one of three children, born to the late Doyle and Pauline Brantley, and was the beloved husband of Gail Brantley for 47 years.

Doug will forever be remembered by his sister, Peggy Kelley, and his brother, Dale Brantley, his children; Rick Gaston, Toni Stephens, and Stacy Hawthorne, his grandchildren; Amy Elashry, Greg Gaston, Brittany Brantley, and Zachary Stephens, and his treasured great grandchildren; Mackenzie Parnell, Scout Parnell, Rylie Gaston, Ryanne Burris, Cooper Gaston, and Layla Gaston, along with countless other family and friends who were blessed to be a part of his life.

Doug was successful in many avenues over the course of his life, and later retired from owning a marine construction company in Rockwall, TX. He loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, watching football, working hard, serving others through the church, and enjoying his grandchildren. Doug’s commitment to the Lord, genuine spirit, kindness, hardworking ethics, dependable service, and love for others will be missed and remembered forever.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation/viewing on December 5th at Terrell First Assembly of God Church, from 6-8pm, in Terrell, TX. His funeral service will be held on December 6th at Terrell First Assembly of God Church, at 1:30pm, in Terrell, TX. The Graveside Service will be at Flower Mound Cemetery, 1501 Flower Mound Rd (FM 3040), Flower Mound, TX 75028, at 4pm.
