OBITUARY

Cooper

William James "Texas Jim" Cooper, 37, of Carrollton, died Dec. 26.
Services were conducted Friday at the Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton with the Rev. Bill Buckingham officiating. He was buried at Furneaux Cemetery in Carrollton.
The former president of the Tex Ritter Fan Club had been a free lance writer. He worked at the Boot Shack in Carrollton.
The long-time Carrollton resident is survived by his father, W. J. Cooper of Carrollton. Cooper is a former Irving police chief. He is also survived by his mother, Gladys Cooper, former employee of the Irving Daily News, now employed at the Suburban News. He is also survived by his sisters, Libby Dixon of Irving and Sharon Brown of Carrollton.
