EWING
WALTER WAYNE (W.W.), 64 passed away March 11, 1995. He retired from the Dallas Fire Department after 34 years of service, member of A. C. Garrett Masonic Lodge, Buckner Bluebonnet Order of the Eastern Star and the White Rock United Methodist Church. Survived by his wife, Leona Ewing; son & daughter-in-law, Thom and Heather Ewing; daughter & son-in-law, Rebecca (Becky) and Alan Peterson of Colorado Springs, CO; step-son & daughter-in-law, Michael and Kate Mashburn of Memphis, TN; step-daughter & son-in-law, Dawn and Derrick Repep of Arlington; TX; grandchildren, Cdt. Jennyth Peterson of College Station, TX, Danielle Peterson of Colorado Springs, CO, Summer and Chris Shrum and Jessica Repep of Arlington, TX and Ian Mashburn of Memphis, TN; numerous relatives and loved ones. Service 1:30 p.m. Tuesday March 14, 1995. SPARKMAN-CRANE CHAPEL, Chaplain Denny Burris officiating. Pallbearers will be present and retired members of the Dallas Fire Department. Interment Grove Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Metters-Rogers Educational Memorial Fund, in-care of Chaplain Denny Burris, 500 Dolphin Road, Dallas, TX 75223. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home

OBITUARY

Rites set today for Walter Ewing, former firefighter
Services for Walter Wayne Ewing, a retired driver engineer for the Dallas Fire Department, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home in Dallas. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
Mr. Ewing, 64, died Saturday.
He started his career with the Dallas Fire Department as a firefighter in the mid 1950s.
He was a member of the A.C. Garett Masonic Lodge, the Buckner Bluebonnet Order of the Eastern Star and White Rock United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Ewing of Dallas; son Thom Ewing of Dallas; daughter Rebecca Peterson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and six grandchildren.

With the Dallas Fire Department for 33 years.  Son of Walter Everett "Pete" Ewing and Cleo Morgan Ewing [bur at Rosston Cemetery, Rosston, Cooke Co., TX].  Married 1) Anna Jeanne Cash on Dec. 27, 1951 [She was CHS 1948]. Together they were the parents of Rebecca Jeanne (Ewing) Peterson and Walter Thomas Ewing. Married 2) Leona Kiker Mashburn on Dec. 11, 1976.
