OBITUARY

Robert Milam Services Thursday

  • Funeral services for Robert E. Milam, 16, of 2706 Mark Twain, Farmers Branch, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Restland Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ken Carter of First United Methodist Church of Carrollton will officiate. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
    He died late Monday night from injuries received in an assault near White Rock Lake on Sept 2.
    He was taken to Parkland where he was admitted to the neuro-intensive care unit.  Milam had been shot once in the eye and the bullet lodged in his brain.
    He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Millam of Farmers Branch, sisters Mrs. Cathy Hill of Dallas and Miss Patricia Stephens of Farmers Branch, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Vi Dean of Beaumont and a grandfather Ben Terrell of Alamo.

2 Attack Victims Die At Dallas

...... The boy was Robert Milam of the Dallas Suburb of Farmers Branch. He was abducted and shot in the right eye the night of Sept 2 by two men who raped his 16-year old girl friend ....  In the Milam killing, police ar looking for two men also wanted for the robbery murder of a grocer. ....

Youth Succumbs To Attack Wounds

DALLAS (AP) Wounds influcted by two attackers the night of Sept 2 claimed the life of Robert Milam, 16, of suburban Farmers Branch at Parkland Hospital last night.
Police said the two men who found Milan and a girl companion at White Rock Lake took the youth away and shot him after raping the girl.
They reported his assailants are still being sought.
