Isaac Webb was an early settler of Farmers Branch. He and his wife were living in Missouri when he set out on his trop too Peters Colony in the fall of 1841.  He stayed for awhile with Thomas Keenan.  When he returned to Missouri he convinced his brother-in-law, William M. Cochran, that Texas was a good Place to raise a family.  After arriving, Webb became an active religious and community leader.  In the fall of 1843, Isaac, Mary, and their four children, William D, Joshua, Allis E., and Sarah A., loaded all the food, clothes, and household belongings they could fit into their wagon and started out for Texas.  Mary, who was born during the journey, was two months old when the Webb Family drove their wagon up to William Cochran's cabin Farmers Branch on January 27, 1844.  The Webs lived with the Cochrans for three months while their cabin was being built.
