OBITUARY
Edwin W. Asbury Last Rites Held
Funeral services were held at the Guardian Funeral Home Friday for Edwin W.
Asbury, 43, veteran of two World Wars who died in a local hospital Thursday
after a heart attack. He lived at 4020 Roswell.
A native of Dallas County, Asbury had lived in Dallas most of his life. For the
last fifteen years he had been in the real estate business. He was a Mason and a
member of the Oak Lawn Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Vick of Houston, his mother Mrs.
Minnie L. Asbury of Dallas, one sister, Mrs Knox Henry of Lancaster, and a
brother, Clifton T. Asbury of Houston.
Dr. Marshall T. Steel of Highland Park Methodist Church conducted the service.
Burial was at Farmers Branch.Dallas Morning News - January 6, 1945,
