OBITUARY

Jeremy Michael Averett
February 4, 1998 - March 23, 2020

It’s with a broken heart that we announce the loss of our precious son, Jeremy Michael Averett, age 22. Jeremy was born in Dallas, TX on February 4, 1998 to parents Michael and Becky Averett and his brother Chad. Jeremy attended Carrollton Christian Academy through middle school. He graduated from Creekview High School and then moved to Highland Park.

Jeremy was known for his huge heart. He loved animals and liked to help people. Jeremy was accepting of all people. From the time Jeremy was a young boy, he was one of the most creative people you would ever meet. He was so funny, we never knew what he would say next. Before he could even spell words, he started writing stories phonetically. He wrote plays and put on imaginative shows for his family. He lived in a different hero or character costume every day and portrayed the character roles perfectly. As he grew, his creative talents showed themselves in his love for movies and music, and creating music. He still enjoyed dressing up, but now it was in fancy clothes to go eat at fancy restaurants. Jeremy had so much life left to live, and Jeremy loved God, and God chose to call him home early. We will miss him more than words can say and we’ll live for the day we are together again with our heavenly father.

Jeremy is survived by his parents, Michael and Becky Averett and his brother, Chad and wife Abby. By his grandparents, Deanna Averett of Carrollton and Ercel & Wanda Wheeler of Longview, TX. By his uncle Steve Wheeler and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Averett of Carrollton, TX.
