OBITUARY Mrs. J. I.
Brake's Rites Set Friday Funeral services for Mrs. J. I. Brake,
72, of Carrollton, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church
there.
Mrs. Brake, a lifelong resident of Dallas County, died Wednesday in a Dallas
hospital. She was the wife of a retired district manager of Southland Life
Insurance Company.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Gravley of Carrollton and
Mrs. George Peters of Dallas; her mother, Mrs. Lura Fyke of Carrollton; two
sisters, Mrs. Earl Skiles and Mrs. Will Myers, both of Carrollton; one brother,
W. H. Fyke of Carrollton, and four
grandchildren.
Burial will be in Perry Cemetery,
Carrollton. Officiating will be the Rev. Thomas B. Guinn, pastor, First Baptist
Church, Carrollton, and the Rev. Leon Turner, Pastor, First Methodist Church,
Carrollton.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Coonrod, Ray Ogle,
V. E. Brake, Clifton, Darrell Myers,
