OUTSTANDING ATHLETE
Carrollton Head Coach W. B. (Sky) Green, left, presents Billy Cathey the Roy Gravely Trophy, reprehensive of the school's outstanding athlete for the year 1949-50. Cathey was an all-district guard in football and an all-district outfielder in baseball. A senior, he won three letters each n football, basketball and baseball.

WEDDING PLANNED

DOUBLE WEDDING FOR CARDEN SISTERS SET FOR JUNE 11
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Carden announce the engagement of their daughters, Miss Dixie Carol Carden to Asa Wayne Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson, and Miss Patricia Ann Carden to Billy Ray Cathey, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Cathey of 11146 Goodnight, Dallas.
The double wedding will be solemnized on Friday evening, June 11 at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Leon Turner will officiate.
Miss Bonnie Jean Carden will serve as Miss Dixie Carden's maid of honor, and Miss Jeanie Gibson of Dallas will attend as bridesmaid. Tommy Johnson will be his brother's best man while Earl Ray of Dallas will be groomsman.
Miss Jacqueline Carden will be maid of honor to Miss Patricia Carden, and Miss Carolyn Campbell will be bridesmaid. James A Cathey, Jr. of Irving, will be Mr. Cathey's best man, and Bob Cathey of Dallas will be groomsmen.

OBITUARY

Cathey
Bill R., 62 of Carrollton, TX. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and Christian man, passed away July 19, 1994, in Carrollton, TX. Mr Cathey was born in Vickery Texas on February 24, 1932. Survived by wife Pat Cathey, Carrollton; son & daughter-in-law Billy & Vickey Cathey, Lewisville; daughters & son-in-law, Susan & Mitchell Smith of Sanger, Patty & John Coates, San Antonio; seven grandchildren; brothers & sisters-in-law, James A. & Jean Cathey of Dallas, bob & Patsy Cathy, Sherman; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
Services 10:00 A.M. Friday July 22, 1994, RHOTON CHAPEL. Mr. Art McNeece officiating. Interment Hilltop Memorial Park, Carrollton.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9. In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to the Riverside Church of Christ Building Fund, 150 S. Denton Tap, Coppell, TX 75019.  RHOTON FUNERAL HOME  I-35 @ Crosby Rd, Carrollton.
