OBITUARY

FARMERS BRANCH COUPLE TO CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Coonrod, known to many friends as Uncle Wade and Aunt Myrtle, will celebrate their Golden Anniversary, Sunday, Sept. 7, with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. The couple will receive relatives, friends and neighbors at their home in Farmers Branch where they have lived for a number of years.
Mr. Coonrod was born at Leonard, Texas, and Mrs. Coonrod was born at Savoy, Texas. They were married at Ector, Texas, on Sept ?, 1902, and lived at Leonard the first two years, moving to Farmers Branch in 1904.
Both have been active members of the Farmers Branch Baptist Church, Mr. Coonrod having been a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher in the church for the past 42 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Coonrod are the parents of two sons and two daughters, C. A. Coonrod of Farmers Branch, and E. W. Coonrod of Dallas, Mrs. Gayle Moore and Mrs. Nora Pinyan of Dallas; and five grandchildren, Hollis Pinyan of the U.S. Armed Forces, Mrs. Billie Gene Jones and Joan Gail Moore of Dallas, and Yvone Coonrod of Farmers Branch.
No Cards have been issued for the open house.
