OBITUARY CURTIS, CHARLES WELDON
(Chopsey)
Graveside services for Charles Weldon (Chopsey) Curtis, 77, of Farmers Branch,
will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at the Belew Cemetery, Aubrey,
Texas with Eddy Ketcherside and Ed Bonneau officiating. Visitation will be from
7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Huff Funeral Home, Pilot Point, Texas. He
passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at the RHD Memorial Hospital in Farmers
Branch. Mr. Curtis was born on December 27, 1927 to the late Odis and Florence
Elizabeth Polley Curtis. He married Dorothy Minor in Farmers Branch and was a
retired Warehouse Manager at the Bonneau Company. He served in the U.S.
Army and was Master Mason of the James A. Smith Lodge in Farmers Branch.
He was also a member of the Farmers Branch Church of Christ. He is survived by
his wife, Dorothy of Farmers Branch; daughters, Cathy Harris of Chandler, AZ,
Charlene Burleson of Phoenix, AZ, Donna Owens of Prosper, Gail Drake of Abilene,
Connie Cox of Flowermound and Renea Stailey of Corinth; 11 grandchildren; 10
great grandchildren; brother, Freddie Curtis of Pilot Point; sisters,
Betty
Peacock of Pilot Point and Barbara Bonneau of Farmers Branch. He was preceded in
death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Pallbearers will be Chris Harris, Jason Busby,
Bradley Burleson, Clifford Burleson, Cory Drake and Sam Cox. His nephews will
serve as honorary pallbearers. Arrangements are under the direction of Huff
Funeral Home, 424 S. Washington St. Pilot Point, TX 76258.
