OBITUARY

Betty Ruth Peacock

Betty Ruth Peacock, 78, passed away on Friday August 28, 2009 at Denton Regional Medical Center.

 She was born on Aug. 19, 1931 to James Odis and Florence Polley Curtis in Dallas, TX. She married Gene Edwin Peacock on July 30, 1949 in Rockwall. Betty was a homemaker and a member of The Farmers Branch Church of Christ and The Pilot Point Church of Christ.

Graveside services will be held at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 4 pm. Visitation will be at Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey, 2 – 3:30 p.m.

Betty is survived by her husband Gene of Pilot Point, one son Curtis Peacock and wife Holly of Pilot Point, and sister Barbara and husband Ed Bonneau of Farmers Branch, one brother Freddie Curtis and wife Dolly of Pilot Point. Betty has six grandchildren: Ray, Josh, Heather, Kyle, Keith, and Kody.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Gail Spinks and Connie Cobb. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Marcum.

Memorials can be made to Pilot Point Church of Christ. Services are under the care of Terri Slay and Staff of Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey.
