OBITUARY
DAFFT
JAMES OWEN, 68, of Tyler, Born January 20, 1927 in Carrollton,
Texas. Died Thursday at his home. He was a retired chief
train dispatcher for Cotton Belt Railroad and a member of Rose
Heights Church of God in Tyler. He had lived in Tyler
since 1989. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII
and the Korean War. Survived by wife, Betty Jo Dafft of Tyler;
daughters, Toyah M. Armstrong of Chandler, Tanyah F. Oakley of Wills
Point; granddaughters, Shannon M. Murray of Carrollton, Amber M.
Smith of Tyler; brothers, Paul Dafft of Carrollton and
Kenneth Dafft of Farmers Branch; sisters
Dorothy Threadgill of of Houston,
Frances Sanada of Palm Springs, CA, Marie Stanley of Irving;
numerous nieces and nephews. Services set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at
Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel in Tyler. Rev. James Dill
officiating. Interment 2:00 p.m. at Restland Cemetery in
Dallas. Pallbearers: Jack Oliver, Chuck Harris, Duland Hulsey,
Harold Roberts, Neal Jones, and Ed Adkinson.
