Tuesday, Aug 28, 1990, in Carrollton.
A retired service station owner, Mr. Daniel had served on the

"Art was a businessman who was well known and trusted by the
community," said Mayor Milburn Gravley. "I guess I have known him all my life
and treasured him for many years as a friend who took a keen and close interest
in the good of the community."
Gravley said he recalled three service station locations that
Daniel owned and operated - on the west side of I-35E (then two-lane Hwy. 77) at
Crosby Road, a Mobil station on Valley View at Josey Lane and a Texaco on I-35
at Whitlock.
"It seemed like just everybody knew and liked Art and would take
their vehicles there for service. People knew to trust him," Gravley said.
