Davis Rites Set At Lewisville

LEWISVILLE, Texas - Funeral services for Albert B. Davis, 72, of Lewisville, a Dallas Morning News carrier and distributor of 32 years, will be held at 3 p.m.


The Texas Flag in front of the Dallas Morning News Building will be flown at half staff Wednesday in honor of Albert B. Davis, an employee of The News, who died in Lewisville Monday.
 


Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Lewisville. Burial will be in Furneaux Cemetery in Hebron, Denton County.
Davis died here Monday.
A native of Denton County, Davis lived most of his life in Lewisville. When he began his carrier route in 1939, the delivery area included rural sectors around Lewisville. In 1942 he began distribution in the Lewisville city limits, and in the last few years he confined his distribution to the city. Four routes now blanket an area that Davis once served with only one route.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisville

Albert B. Davis

LEWISVILLE - Funeral services for Albert B. Davis of Lewisville, 72, will be held at p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Lewisville. Burial will be in the Furneaux Cemetery.
Born Sept 13, 1898, Mr. Davis was a lifelong Denton County resident and an independent distributor for the Dallas Morning News.
Survivors includes his wife, Edna Bond Davis; a son, Hugh Davis of Lewisville; three daughters, Gayla Fuller of San Jose, Calif., Brooksey Davis and Alecia Davis, both of Lewisville; one brother, Ezra Davis of Lewisville, three sisters, Lena Martin of Carrollton, Odessa Foster of Fort Worth and Birdie Bridges of Dallas; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
