Austin Fyke

CARROLLTON, Texas - Austin Fyke, 77, a native of Carrollton, died Sunday in his home here after a short illness.
A retired carpenter and farmer, he was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Tom McLendon and Mrs. Richard McLendon of Carrollton, Mrs. John Toombs of Irving, Mrs. C. M. Toombs of Farmers Branch and Mrs. Paul Kerr of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Wright of Denton, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Rhoton Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in Union Cemetery here.

Oscar W. Fyke, 1108 Maryland, Carrollton, Survived by wife, Mrs. Claudia Fyke; daughters, Mrs Eura Toombs, Farmers Branch; Mrs. Eura Toombs, Irving; Mrs. Frieda McLendon, Mrs. Connie McLendon, both of Carrollton; Mrs. Berchie Kerr, Dallas. Services were held Tuesday 10 a.m. in private chapel with James Fowler officiating. Interment was in Perry Cemetery, Carrollton, with Rhoton Funeral Home in charge.  Pallbearers were Tom and Richard mcLendon, Jack Harkins, John Toombs, Harvey Kitchens, Dell H. Crane.
