Charles E. Hand was born on April 16, 1936 in Woodbine, TX to
William Ray and Margarette Melcina Hand. Charles ran track in high
school as well as doing the high jump. He was the first person ever to

Company. He worked with North Side Supply Company for 20 years and even
though he was the Vice President and not a salesman any longer, people

liked. One year, he even won the distinction of Top One Hundred Salesman
nation-wide. Charles had many jobs before he worked for North Side. He
worked at picking cotton as a kid, Manor Bread truck delivery man and
even worked on the instrument panels of the big B-52 Bombers. Charles

was a '57 Thunderbird that was a hard top convertible. He always
regretted selling that car. He also loved to travel, and drove many a
mile with his wife and children across the U.S.. Most of all, Charles
loved his family. He was always proud of his children and grandchildren
and he enjoyed spending time with them as much as he could. Charles is
