OBITUARY
 
HAND
LORETTA GENTRY, 62, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother passed away at her home in Richardson with her family on Saturday, November 20, 1999 after a courageous battle with a year long illness. Preceded in death by children Connie, Rusty, and Marsha and her parents Bennett and Bertha Gentry. Loretta is survived by her husband of 43 years Charles; daughters Sharon and husband David Ridenour of McKinney and Lisa with husband Chris Higgins of Lubbock; grandchildren Rusty, Grant, Calvin and London Ridenour and Robbie Higgins; sisters Imogene and husband Bob Etheridge of Irving and Benita and husband Travis Maynard of Whitesboro; brother-in-law Jim and Becky Hand of Dallas; sister-in-law Cynthia Lam of Gainesville; 2 nieces, 5 nephews and numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts Prudie Thompson of Ft. Worth and Lonella Thompson. Loretta graduated from Carrollton High School and attended Decatur Baptist College and several computer classes at Dallas Info Mart. Loretta was a member of the Encouragers Class at Prestonwood Baptist Church. Loretta had been employed with several firms including Dallas Title, Dallas Power and Light, Sun Oil Company and most recently Soutwest Land Title. For Loretta every occasion was special, particularly birthdays, and her encouraging spirit and love for life will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends at Rhoton Funeral Home on Monday, November 22, 1999 from 6-8 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Rhoton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hilltop Memorial Park.
