HARWELL,, MAURINE "MERNIE"Age 84, passed away April 14, 2006. She was born on May 9, 1921 to Esma Lee and Calvin Emmet Sutherland. She enjoyed fishing, dining with her lady friends, playing Gin Rummy with Charlie, cooking and just being a mom and grandmother and was a member of the Webb Chapel United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of almost 58 years, Charles, 2 sisters Pat Bullock and Katie Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Charla Harp, Vicki Scherer, and Vanessa and Galen Coffelt; son, Lanny and Michelle Harwell; grandchildren, Blake and Drew White, Dana Harp, Matt Oyster, Katie and Willie Coffelt, Shelley and Jimmie Walter; great-granddaughters Jillian Walter and Shelby Oyster; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. A visitation will be held tonight at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service is on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Rhoton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Grapevine Cemetery located in Grapevine, TX. Pallbearers: Galen Coffelt, Jim Harwell, Randy Smith, Blake White, Drew White, Jimmie Walter.
