OBITUARY

Vaden A Holley
September 24, 1941 – July 15, 2019

Vaden Austin Holley, 77, of Carrollton, Texas passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019. Vaden was born in Carrollton on September 25, 1941 to Gerald and Nola Holley and was the first of three children. Vaden graduated from Carrollton High school in 1961, he went on to become an army veteran and retired after nearly 20 years as a correctional officer. Vaden then went on to retire from Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District after 12 years. Vaden was a beloved member of his community and an active member and faithful servant of his church, Prince Of Peace where he served in the Stephen’s Ministry. Vaden was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. Christ’s love truly shined through Vaden as he always displayed a happy disposition, a giving heart, and a listening ear to anyone in need. Vaden loved The Lord, a nice steak (well-done of course), his recliner, watching westerns, a good fire, the mountains, playing golf, rooting for all Texas teams especially the Dallas Cowboys, playing dominoes, swimming, shooting guns, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Vaden was a self-less person that never complained, was extremely patient in any given situation and had compassion for those in need of help. Vaden was a great man, a Godly man, and his time spent here was special to all of us. Vaden was survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carrie (LeSieur) Holley, his sons Vaden Holley and Andrew Holley, his daughter Rose Palmer, his son-in-law Brandon Palmer, his grandchildren Jacob Casillas, Isabella Holley, Austin Holley & Barrett Palmer. His legacy will live on in their hearts forever. Life will not be the same without him, but there is comfort in knowing that he lived every day to it’s fullest and loved with every ounce of his being.
Please send all floral tributes to Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church, 4000 Midway Road, Carrollton, Texas.
