OBITUARY William H. Holley, 21, of Carrollton, died following an
accident on a curve on Highway 121 approximately 1.6 miles southwest of
Lewisville Friday night, August 6.
The highway was reported slick from a heavy rain which hit the area at the time
of the accident.
Holley, driving a compact car north on the road, collided with a sedan driven by
Homer H. Maynard of Grapevine.
He was engaged to Jackie Greener and plans had been completed for their marriage
on August 20.
Miss Greener was an occupant of the car along with Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Sigler.
They, along with Maynard were treated for lacerations of the head, face, and
arms and released from Flow Memorial Hospital, Denton.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 8, at the Highland Baptist
Church in Carrollton with Rev. Nolan C. Sumner and Rev. George Mullianx
officiating. Interment was in Hilltop Memorial Park.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Holey; one brother,
Vaden A. Holley, and a sister, Betty Ruth
Holley, all of Carrollton and a grandfather, H. F. Holley.
