OBITUARY

CARROLL WAYNE HOWARD
81, of Frisco, Texas, passed away October 3, 2008. Born to Fred and Lydia (Vinson) Howard April 7, 1927, he was the grandson of William Forest Vinson, the first mayor of Carrollton, TX, the city for which Carroll was named for. He attended school in Carrollton, joined and seved 4 years in the US Navy. He then married Emma Doris Chambers, and attended Baptist seminary in Decatur, TX. After years in the Ministry he was in national sales for Daisy Ertl Toy Company, followed by a 20 year career in real-estate. He was a member of the Rotary Club and member of the Businessmen's Association of The Colony, TX and served as President of the Little Elm, TX School Board. He loved boating and fishing on Lake Lewisville where he resided for  the past 35 years. He is preceded in death by wife, Emma Doris Howard; a son, Kevin Howard; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by: daughters, Pamela and husband Stephen Parker of Coppell, TX; Sheri and husband John Bailey of Carrollton, TX; Loving wife, Donna (Simmons) Howard, of the home; step-son Ty Sweeney and wife Donna of PA; step-daughter Dana and husband Tom Mullins of Dallas TX; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; 1 sister, Betty Deaton of Carrollton, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday evening, October 6, 2008 6-8 PM at Rhoton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church, Farmers Branch, TX. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society-Collin County, TX.
