OBITUARY Andrew Jackson,
Carrollton, Dies at 85; Funeral Sunday
CARROLLTON, Texas. - Funeral services for Andrew Jackson, 85, lifetime
resident of Dallas County, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the First Methodist
Church of Carrollton.
Jackson died at his home, 1107 Jackson Street, Carrollton, Saturday.
He was born July 23, 1870 in Dallas County, the son of John and Caroline Perry
Jackson.
Jackson was a building contractor for many years and operated the Carrollton
Pre3ss Brick Company. He was in charge of the construction of all bridges on the
old Highway 77 in Dallas County.
The Rev. Leon Turner will conduct services and burial will be in Cemetery Hill
Cemetery near Carrollton.
Pallbearers will be J. Lee Jackson, Charlie Jackson, W. T. Squibb, George E.
Jackson, Will C. Furneaux, Paul E. Thompson, Leon Weatherly, and W. M. Young.
