John Perry Jackson
JACKSON, John Perry - July 21, 1927 -- April 11, 2009 John Perry Jackson was born on July 21, 1927 in Fort Worth, Texas and died on April 11, 2009 at his home in Toronto, Ontario, of natural causes. Mr. Jackson was 81 years of age and is survived by his wife, Kathleen Jackson, two sisters, Dorris Jackson Martin, Denton, TX, and Norma Jackson Goldman, Nashville, TN, one brother, D. Wayne Jackson and wife, Louann of Roswell, GA, an aunt, Rebecca Frances Jones, Rockwall, TX, ten nieces and nephews, and thirty great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond Jackson and Beryl Louise Jackson. John lived in Toronto for almost 30 years. He was an avid master bridge player and loved to sail. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, stationed at Johnson Island in the Hawaiian Islands. Kathleen was the love of his life and he was a much-loved older brother to his two sisters and brother. Graveside services at the Furneaux Cemetery in Carrollton, TX are pending. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice or to CARE World Hunger, 151 Ellis St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30303-2440.
