OBITUARY
Robert L.
Jernigan, age 91 of Hebron, passed away Friday, May 6, 2005, at
his residence.
He was born, January 28, 1914, in Grapevine, Texas to Thurston and
Sarah West
Jernigan. Robert married Lucy Kelley on July 16, 1938, in Hebron,
Texas and worked as a machinist for Continental Emsco. He was a member
of First Baptist Church Hebron.
He is survived by: his wife, Lucy; two daughters, Deanie Milligan
of Carrollton, Texas and Mozelle Williams of Hartselle, Alabama; a son
Walter
Jernigan of Carrollton; three sisters, Dorothy Long of Ardmore,
Oklahoma, Nancy Baker of Bonham, Texas and Mildred Glidewell of Coppell,
Texas; two brothers, Edward
Jernigan of Farmersville, Texas and Monroe Sewell of Troup,
Texas; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three
great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and
two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2005,
at First Baptist Church Hebron. Burial will follow in Furneaux Cemetery
in Carrollton. Reverend Steve Fowler and Bro. Mike Williams will
officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.,
Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. In lieu
of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. of Greater
Dallas, 7610 N. Stemmons Frwy., Ste 600, Dallas, Texas 75247-9952.
