OBITUARY

JOHNSON
HOWARD JAMES, JR., 47 of Carrollton, passed away on February 18, 1993 at his residence after two year battle with liver cancer. Howard was born on October 18, 1945 in Dallas, TX. He was a graduate of R. L. Turner High School n 1964 as Valedictorian, attended the University of Texas receiving a BA and Masters Degree in Chemistry, attended the University of Illinois receiving his PhD in Chemistry. Howard worked at Houston's Medical Center where he did Cancer Research at M. D. Anderson. He returned to Dallas and was employed at Nuclear Medical Labs and at Southwestern Medical School, where he did research in human reproduction. He returned to school in Austin obtaining his degree in Pharmacy and later was employed at Eckerd's Pharmacy in Farmers Branch. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Howard is survived by his mother, Pauline Johnson; brother & sister-in-law, Mike & Cindy Johnson; sister &  brother-in-law, Jan & Larry Owens; brother Matthew Johnson; nieces & nephews, Michael Owens, Danny Owens, Bo Johnson, Angela Johnson, Johnathan Johnson, all of Carrollton, numerous aunts & uncles & cousins. Services Monday, February 22, 1993, RHOTON CHAPEL, Rev. Thomas Sorensen & Rev. Richard Dow, officiating. Interment Hilltop Memorial Park. Pallbearers, Ralph Burgess, Maurey Defoer, Jess Calhoun, Larry Owens, Michael Beckman, Bo Johnson. The family will receive friends Sunday, 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
