McElroy - Jones
Last Saturday, April 5th, Mr. W. R. Jones and Mrs. Lois Brake McElroy went to Durant Okla and were married. They were accompanied by Clifton Finch , Mrs. Will Shields, and Miss Bettie Jones.  The party left Carrollton about six o'clock Saturday morning arrived in Durant and the wedding took place at 9:30.  They returned to Carrollton Saturday night.  The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. N. R. Jones who live east of town on the D.C. Perry farm. The bride is a daughter Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Brake.  Both of these young people are well known here and have many friends who extend to them their congratulations and wish for a long happy married life. They will make their home in Dovedale <?> where Mr. Jones is employed.

William Raymond, residence Carrollton, died Tuesday. Survived by wife, Mrs. Lois Jones; son, Paul Jones; three daughters, Mrs. Patsy Duncan, Mrs Mary Estil Graham, Miss Adelia Ann Jones; brother, Gilbert Jones; five sisters, Mrs May Shields, Mrs. Bonnie Nix, Mrs. Betty McDaniel, Mrs. N. R. Davis, Mrs. Ocia B. Miller; a grandchild. Services Thursday, 2 p.m., College Avenue Baptist Church, Rev. Herbert O. Moore officiating. Interment Cemetery Hill, Pallbearers; James Daniel, Bryan Jones, Aydron Swinney, Roy Graham, Herbert and Jim Owens. Arrangements
