OBITUARY
Patti Rothenberg, 83, passed away peacefully at a nursing home in
Gilmer on August 13, 2011.
She was born September 1, 1927, in Marlin, Texas. She grew up and
attended schools in Carrollton, Texas. Throughout her life, she was
devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, dancing and making crafts.
She spent her later years assisting the elderly and giving to anyone in
need. Patti was a member of First Baptist Church of Ore City.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lois and Raymond Jones;
a brother, Paul R. Jones; and a nephew Donnie R. Jones.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Gage and Kathleen O'Neil;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary E. and James Graham and Ann and Dean
Jones. She had eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at First
Baptist Church of Ore City, with the Rev. Ken Mills and the Rev. Wayne
Norvell officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of
Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
The family expresses much gratitude for all the wonderful caregivers at
Heart to Heart Hospice during Patti's time of need.
