OBITUARY
 

Nancy Adele Jordan June 29, 1946 - December 3, 2019 Nancy Adele Jordan, age 73, of Leon, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil Ellsworth and Winna Fay (Covington) Teter, was born June 29, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. She left this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa. Nancy grew up in Dallas and graduated in 1963, from R.L.Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas. She married to Billy L. Gober in 1966. They were blessed with two sons, Patrick and Greg. The couple later divorced in the early 1980’s. In 1989, Nancy married Paul Jordan. He died in the summer of 1992. She worked various jobs over the years, but after over 25 years, she retired from Halliburton Energy Services. In her free time, Nancy enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking care of people, and time with her grandchildren. Nancy lived her whole life in Texas until moving to Leon, Iowa in 2016, to be close to her son, Pat, and his family. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Paul Jordan; and brothers, James Teter and Darle Edwards. Survivors include her sons, Pat and Laurie Gober of Leon and Greg and Sheila Gober of Sparta, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, John, Timothy, Matthew, Susannah, Jared, and Jessica; great grandchildren, Lillie and Lane; brother, Doug and Linda Teter of Mineola, Texas; nieces and nephews; cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Memorial services will be held at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019, with Jeremy Quigley officiating. Visitation is 9-10 a.m. before the service.
