Douglas was born on January 29, 1945, in Dallas, Texas to the late Winna
Faye Covington and Cecil Ellsworth Teter. He was enlisted in the U.S.
Army and later married the love of his life, Linda King on September 27,

with family and friends, going fishing and teaching his grandsons all he
knew about fishing, cooking and grilling for his family, planting and
tending his garden and then sharing the fruits of his labor with others.
Douglas is preceded in death by both his parents, Winna Faye Covington
Teter and Cecil Ellsworth Teter, one brother, James Teter, and one
sister, Nancy Jordan.
Left behind to cherish his loving memory are his loving and faithful
wife of 53 years, Linda Teter; his two children, Brian Teter and his
wife Debra, and Lisa Janis and her husband Curtis; five grandchildren,
Haley Williams, Holly Williams, Joey Teter, Kyle Janis, and Luke Janis;
and many nieces and nephews.
